Our in-house engineering team are the experts behind the transformative WiSub range of pinless connectors. 

WiSub’s underwater pinless connector solutions have been proven to revolutionise and create new possibilities for the subsea industry. Maelstrom is designed with flexible mounting and a transparent Ethernet interface. 

Maesltrom’s compact size offers 180 W power transfer with a nominal operating voltage of 24 VDC. Output voltage is configurable by the user from 12 to 30 VDC with constant current control to allow battery charging.

High Performance Pinless Subsea Connector

WiSub’s data transfer technology attains never-before achieved speeds in pinless connection, starting with a 200Mbps transparent Ethernet & serial interface.
The convergence of this disruptive solution with proprietary inductive coupling has resulted in a flexible connection solution delivering unlimited wet-mate cycles and loose mating tolerances, enabling the development of new opportunities for underwater equipment manufacturers and operators.

Maelstrom Analogue

Designed with flexibility in mind, Maelstrom has the option to include analogue data transfer by converting data from the sensors into a digital signal, transferring it over the link and then reconstructing the analogue signal.

  • The converter offers 4 analogue channels that can be individually configured as analogue inputs or outputs
  • Analogue input data is sampled at 100Hz using a 16-bit analogue to digital converter
  • Analogue output data is reconstructed using a 13-bit digital to analogue converter
  • Each analogue input or output channel can be individually configured as 4-20mA, 0-5v or 0-10v analogue signals
  • The analogue system includes Maelstrom’s standard 200 Mbps ethernet data transfer
